THE ROLE

We are looking for a customer-oriented and collaborative Network Specialist to join DHL Freight’s Business IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and developing business-critical network and IT solutions while ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the company’s IT infrastructure. You will act as an important link between the business, end users, and external IT service providers.

Your key responsibilities include:

👉 Participating in the development of IT solutions and systems that support DHL Freight’s business operations

👉 Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and external IT service providers

👉 Serving as an IT expert and advisor for production and sales teams

👉 Contributing to system implementation and business development projects

👉 Investigating and resolving network-related incidents together with internal and external partners

👉 Supporting the business in information security matters and best practices

👉 Driving process improvements and leveraging automation to enhance operational efficiency

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

To succeed in this role, you have a few years of experience working with networking, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, or related technologies.

You have a strong interest in technology and understand how enterprise networks, systems, and services operate together. You enjoy solving problems, collaborating with different stakeholders, and taking ownership of your work.

Important qualifications and attributes include:

👉 Experience with enterprise networking technologies such as LANs, routing, wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls, and Active Directory

👉 Understanding of system development, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting

👉 Knowledge of or interest in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Java, PHP, or Power Automate)

👉 Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external service providers

👉 A customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset

👉 Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently

👉 Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

👉 Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish
