Avant Power is part of the Avant Group. The parent company, Avant Tecno, has been manufacturing compact loaders for over 30 years and is the market leader in its size category. The Avant Group also includes Leguan, a manufacturer of access platforms. The Group’s annual turnover ranges between €230–300 million. Avant Group employs approximately 480 people. At our factory in Ylöjärvi, we produce around 6,000 to 8,000 loaders annually, 90% of which are exported. Avant has importers in over 70 countries and dedicated subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, Brazil, and the USA.

We are part of Avant Group, a Finnish family-owned company and the global market leader in compact loaders.
Avant Power was established in 2022 to manufacture electric batteries for Avant’s electric loaders. The company has a turnover of approximately €4 million and employs 15 people. The battery and its associated production lines are designed in-house by Avant Power, and production is located at Avant’s Ylöjärvi facility. Our product development and manufacturing are 100% based in Finland.
A key competitive advantage is Avant Power’s proprietary immersion cooling technology, which is utilized in both batteries and power electronics.
Avant Power is continuously exploring business potential related to its battery technology. The roles currently being recruited will play a central part in designing and maintaining new business operations, as well as supporting other business functions. We aim to develop and produce in-house whenever it makes sense from a business perspective. We also use subcontractors to allow us to focus on core development.

Your work is related to OptiGrid -project, which is the newest project at Avant Power. The main focus is to develop a system that can intelligently forecast consumption and production of electricity and act accordingly.

Why is Avant now also making batteries?
Avant Tecno has been manufacturing compact loaders and attachments for over 30 years. They are a global market leader in their field.
After working with electric loaders and batteries for decades, they came to the conclusion that there is no battery pack on the market powerful enough and perfectly optimized for compact loaders. That’s why they decided to start manufacturing batteries themselves
In 2023, Avant Tecno’s new subsidiary, Avant Power, began producing batteries for Avant’s electric loaders. Now Avant can offer our customers battery packs that are 100% compatible with Avant machines. With a fully charged new Avant e527 loader, you can work all day in most situations.
Avant Power’s battery technology is globally unique. We dare to claim that these batteries mark the beginning of a new era for electric loaders — in terms of capacity, working time, lifespan, safety, durability, and pricing.

Avant Tecno starts manufacturing loaders at Ylöjärvi, Finland
Since then, there are over 80 000 manufactured loaders delivered to customers.
Electric Avant 1.0: First fully electric loader
Avant introduced the first fully electric loader in 1997. Technically the machine worked well, but effective operation time was only 1–2 hours. Therefore, the loader was suitable only for very few specific jobs
Electric Avant 2.0
The next generation electric Avant was introduced in 2017. s. This was already sufficient for quite versatile work, but it was clear that an even greater capacity of the battery would improve and expand the usability of the loader significantly.
Avant Power founded⚡
With decades of experience with loaders and their batteries, we can say that there is not a battery-solution that is perfectly optimised for loaders. Thats why Avant Power was founded - to solve this problem.
Avant launches two new electric loader models in Bauma
New OptiTemp battery packs and new fully electric Avant models were unveiled in the international Bauma fair in Munich, Germany, on October 24th, 2022.

Avant Power's goal is to reach 600 M€ turnover and focus on electric loaders. Their portion of sales is expected to be 50 %.
